    Charles Hugh "Bud" Galyean was born on November 6, 1935, in Old Ocean, Texas, and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 29, 2007, at his home in Seabrook at 72 years of age. Bud served his country in the Air Force and retired from Celanese after 33 years of service, where he was an operator and supervisor. Bud was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Bud is survived by his wife of 45 years, Peggy Galyean of Seabrook; his two sons, Rick Galyean and wife, Traci, of Seabrook and Jeff Galyean and wife, Christy, of League City; his beloved grandchildren, Alyssa, Vincent and Peyton Galyean and Phillip O?Toole; his aunt, Mary Coburn and husband, Bill, of Old Ocean; mother-in-law, Eva Orr of Sweeny; and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.     Maude Galyean grew up in the horse and buggy days and lived to see man walk on
    the moon. An old man came to her town and said that one day there would be
    things flying through the air and people would be in them. They thought he was
    crazy.

    Maude was the one to go to the schoolhouse and announce the end of the Great
    War, what would later be called World War I.

    She and her husband, Tom’s first car was a Model T. They later traded it in for
    a team of mules. She went through the Great Depression. The storm of ‘32 (1932
    Hurricane) blew their house off the blocks with them inside.
