    Page 109-110: 846: L. Apr. 9, 1858:3/2 - Joel Scranton had an attack of apoplexy while crossing the Center St. bridge yesterday and fell upon the bridge. Later he recovered sufficiently to make his way to the recorder's office in the old court house. He was then conveyed to his home at 43 Lake St. where he is now in a serious condition and is not expected to recover.
