    the trade, which was to be his life's vocation. Mr. giladett also was a poultry fancier and his blooded stock has been shown at the leading poultry expositions in New York state, including Madison Square Garden. Besides his wife, the former Ellen Park, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Scott Dennison of Sherburne, two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Pudney of Sherburne, Mrs. Earl Barnes ofmClayton, N. C, and a brother, Leo Giladett of Binghamton, also several nieces and a nephew. Mr. Giladett was an active member of Christ Episcopal church.

    March 19, 1997
    Mrs. Irma Gerhart Gilladette, 83, of Charles Street, Nelliston, died Wednesday at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown after a short illness.
    Born May 23, 1913 in Nelliston, she was the daughter of Edwin and Ella Van Alstyne Gerhart. Mrs. Gilladette was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Gloversville Business School.
    For many years, she owned and operated Gerhart's Florist in Nelliston, retiring in 1986.
    Mrs. Gilladette was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Fort Plain Chapter.
    She was a communicant of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fort Plain.
    Her husband, John Gilladette, died in 1982.
    Survivors include a son, Louis Gilladette of Nelliston; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St., Canajoharie, with the Rev. Kenneth Dingman officiating. Cremation will take place at Parkview Crematory, Schenectady.
    Calling hours are from 5 p.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
    Memorial contributions may be made to Mid-County Volunteer Ambulance Corps in Canajoharie.
