     He was Coachman/Driver for the Wadsworth Family who lived at 210 Genesee St. As Lawrence Vincent Shaw, his grandson remembers going to visit him and seeing him killing and plucking feathers from chickens, he obviously had other tasks that he performed for the family besides just being their driver. He took a path to work and back each day that involved a short-cut through Fort Hill Cemetery. He was also active in politics and was a City Councilman for the ninth ward.
