I think they were caught settling up roadblocks for an ambush and were arrested and sentenced sent to Wormwood Scrubs & then to Pentonville the prison where Roger Casement was executed and buried and was until the Treaty was signed .
He got a beating by the police in Pentonville prison ..one of many ..he fell asleep I think behind a door or something and the Prison gards were doing a head count found hecwas missing..they thought he had escaped ..when they searched and found him they beat him up and he got a rifle butt in side head so he had none or nearly no hearing in his ear on that side of his head
But hey he got released eventually and came home n married n had kids he a was a winner ! On 22 April 1921 at Pollerton Rd., Carlow, Carlow, Ireland.⁵
