Jeremiah Vose married Hannah Holmes, daughter of Nathaniel Holmes Jr. and Hannah Smith, on 11 January 1769 at Stoughton, Massachusetts, USA.2 Corp. Jeremiah Vose died on 31 May 1823 at Stoughton, Massachusetts, USA, at age 76.2 He was buried circa 1 June 1823 at Dry Pond Cemetery, Stoughton, Massachusetts, USA.2

Jeremiah Vose was twenty years of age when he lef Milton with his parens and went to Stoughton. Four years later, in 1771, he bought one-half of his father's homestead, and in 1777, after his father's death and the adjustmentof his affairs and final division of his estate, he was assigned the remainder of his father's real estate. he added to this in 1783, thirty acres in Stoughton and Easton on the "Old Colony Line" in 1788 the Packard place in Stoughton; in 1819 (with his sone Reuben) twelve acres on the northeasterly side of the road near his house, and small lots of Blue Hill meadow.
His real estate in 1829 aounted to one hundred and thirteen acres in Stoughton, and seventy in Easton. In that year he transferred it all to his son-in-law, Mace Gay, for $2400.00, with the understanding the Mr. Gay shold provide a suitable room for Jeremiah and his wife Hannah, with specified necessities and comforts of life as long as they lived, and Mr. Gay was to have the imporvement of the stock on the farm, kept undiminished in quantity and quality. If Jeremiah reached the age of eighty the stock was to belong to Mr. Gay; but if he died before he reached the age of eighty the stock was to be equally divided among his surviving heirs.
The indoor movables after Hannah's death were to be divided among his surviving daughters, and the farming utensils to be sold and all depts paid as well as small legacies to his sons Jeremiah and Stephen, and daughters Jerusha Morton, Polly Cram, and Lucy shepard. The deed of conveyance was signed in July, 1820. In January, 1821, Mr. Vose and Mr. Gay sold the whole property, one hundred and thirteen acres in Stoughton and seventy-six in Easton, to the two sons-in-law, James D. Swan and Benjamin bigee for $1400. In June of the next year Mr. Gay died, and about one year later, Mr. Vose.
In 1827 Swan and Bisbee sold to the proprietors of the mills on the Queset and Town Rivers in Easton and Bridgewater for $846.71, six acres with all the buildings in Stoughton and twenty-four acres nearly opposite the dwelling house lately occupied by Jeremiah, with the privilege of flowing the upper lot. The next year the remainder of the estate, about one hundred acres, with included the homestead, was sold to the son Jeremiah Vose and his sister Jerusha Morton.
Jeremiah's widow, Hannah Vose, lived in the old house which over-looked what is now Long Pond, as late as 1839, when her son Joseph leased the place, and she was then residing with him. Soon afterward she went to the home of her daughter Hannah Swan, and remained there until death
The house was removed in 1860 about a mile from its original site, to North Easton. It is still standing (See Jerusha Morton, No. 286)
Jeremiah Vose had fourteen children, ninety grandchildren, one hundred and two great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. At the death of his widow, eleven shildren were living, seventy three grandchildren, eighty-one great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, totalling one hundred and sixty-six descendants.
Mr. Vose rendered service in the Revolution. Her served three days in Captian Talbot's company, Colonal Robinson's regiment which repsonded to the Lexington Alarm, and five days as corporal in Captain Leach's company, Col. Benjamin Gill's regiment which assisted in fortifyiing Dorchester Heights.

He married Jane Moss of Childwall in 1829 (license issued July 25, 1629), and was living in Ditton, Feb. 18, 1641; in Cronton, Mar. 29, 1650,both in Prescot Parish, Lancashire; and in Dorchester, Massachusetts, July 14, 1654. His wife Jane died in Milton, Mass. "sum time in October, 1675." He died there Oct. 11, 1683. Two unmarked field stones in the voe lot in Milton Cemetery may designat their graves. How long Mr. Vose had been in New England is unknown, but he was a "gentleman of Dorcester" on Jly 13, 1654, when he purchased about 500 acres, the estate of John Glover, a leading citizen of that town. John Glover was formerly of Rainhill, Prescott Parish in Lancashire, and came to America with the Joint Stock Land company, organized in London in 1628, to take up and settle land in New England, and his allotment of 200 acres in Dorchester, increased later by purchase from others, was sold by his heirs to Robert vose "for the sum of three hundred and fowwre score pounds ster."3
