This making his stay of earth 81 years, 6 months and 11 days, He was married to Pinky Cheeks, 1884. Under this union were born 7 children, 5 girls and 2 boys. 3 preceded him unto death. He leaves his dear companion, 4 children, 10 grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors to mourn their loss. The children living are Mrs. Dan Gentry, of Mt. Airy, NC; Mrs Claude Simcox, of Low Gap, NC and Arthur Galyean, of Low Gap, NC; and Mrs. Floyd Mays, of Dobson, NC. He professed a hope in Christ about 25 years ago, and lived faithful unto death. We feel if he could speak that he would say, "Don't weep for me, for I have reached that peaceful shore to dwell with Christ for evermore." Funeral services by Elder W. T. Wilmoth and Elder M. T. Brooks.
