Mrs. Mina Smith Maples, 41, died at her home, 2654 Selma Avenue, Saturday at 11:45 pm after a short illness. She is survived by her husband C.C. Maples; three daughters, Misses Emma, Charlotte Rose, and Dorothy Maples; four sons, Nolan, Lynn, Joe and Jimmy Maples; father J. M. Smith of Thorn Grove; four sisters, Mrs. Hubert Lakin of Knoxville, Mrs. C.C. Hawes of Knoxville, Mrs. Perry Atchley of Thorn Grove and Mrs. Herbert Kitts of Thorn Grove and two brothers, Coy and Fred Smith of Thorn Grove.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm today at the Thorn Grove Christian Church with the Rev. Murph Tawver officiating. Burial will be in Thorn Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Sam King, Clay Barber, Ethridge Hagard, James Cannon, Myers Cannon, and Burl Cates. The funeral party will leave the home at 12:30 pm. today for Thorn Grove.
