He was wounded in the leg and captured January 1776. He came south to North Carolina continuing inhis Revolutionalry War activity for North Carolina from 1781-1783. He was Land Surveyer in 1798.⁴ In April 1798, after the Revolutionary War, he was involved in the Glasgow Land Fraud Scandal. He was indicted, but not convicted for his participation in the misappropriation of land bounty property to veterans.⁴
